Lisie S. Orjuela is a lyrical, poetic abstract oil painter concerned with stillness, vulnerability and intimacy.

Anchored in attentive observation and felt experience she delves into different facets of inner experience through her artwork.  In her current practice she carves a sense of quiet presence out of organic shapes, suggested rhythms, and muted colors.

Orjuela has held recent solo exhibitions at Brightworks Gallery (Bridgeport, CT), The Rye Arts Center (Rye, NY), Moira Fitzsimmons Art Gallery (Hamden, CT), and Gallery 263 (Cambridge, MA). She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including in MAPSpace (Port Chester, NY), Five Points Arts (Torrington, CT), the Hudson Valley MOCA (Peekskill, NY), the Fitchburg Art Museum (Fitchburg, MA), and the Mattatuck Museum (Waterbury, CT). Her studio is in Port Chester, NY.
