Bio

My heritage and influences are quite a mix of cultures, visual experiences, and living rhythms garnished with a strong dose of early emphasis on the spiritual dimension of our existence. Originally and culturally from Argentina, I have lived in Uruguay, Switzerland, and Mexico, as well as in several states within the United States.

I currently live and work in Connecticut. My studio is in the historic American Fabric Arts Building in Bridgeport, where a variety of accomplished artists, artisans, and designers work. In this wonderful studio space I work for weeks and months on each piece, letting layers of paint, patterns, and energies slowly intermingle, shift, and weave themselves into the finished paintings.

In my work I have consistently explored, dug around and tapped into the inner world of the psyche, the spirit, the soul. My main interest lies in evoking and investigating the soul’s longings, the contradictions and the paradoxes of our internal worlds through layers of colors, patterns, images. The imagery has shifted, evolved and changed somewhat over the years, yet the root is the same.
